Vehicle Marketing Specialist (Part-time) in Charlevoix, MI

With continued growth in your area, we have found the need to locate someone who can deliver on-the-lot services part-time to contracted clients. At inception this role is a part-time position that will require 15 – 30 hours each week.

The Vehicle Marketing Specialist is a unique position that blends photography and customer service at automotive dealerships that have contracted with AutoUpLink Tech for services. You will visit assigned, client sites multiple times per week to photograph vehicles to create content that our customers use to advertise their vehicles to shoppers.

The successful candidate will have the ability to grow and take on more responsibility based on your performance. The ideal candidate will have 2 – 3 years of photography knowledge and a working knowledge of automotive retail vehicle prep and listings online; however, all candidates with relevant skills and “mojo” will be considered!

Compensation

The compensation plan for this critical role includes:

  • Hourly wage with a guaranteed, minimum number of hours each week
  • Commissions per vehicle serviced (no confusing or complicated commission calculations! Just multiply the number of vehicles serviced each day by your commission rate per vehicle, and based on your hard work, watch the earnings add up)
  • Mileage reimbursement to travel to and from job sites

Responsibilities

  • Visit client dealership locations on scheduled week days to photograph vehicles
  • Photograph vehicles at client sites using a company-provided camera
  • Capture video of vehicles
  • Identify vehicles to be serviced using the company’s mobile app on a company-provided mobile device
  • Print window labels (i.e. window stickers and Buyer’s Guides) and apply them to vehicles using a printer provided by the company
  • Interact with dealership personnel during visits to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Communicate with your supervisor in person, by phone, text, and email regularly about work performance and client satisfaction
  • Synchronize (i.e. upload) the captured photos or video in real-time to our cloud environment using our software

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years recent, applicable professional career experience;
  • Proficiency with digital cameras and with indoor and outdoor photography;
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently;
  • Excellent time management & organizational skills;
  • A good driving record, valid driver license and appropriate levels of vehicle insurance;
  • Minimum education of a High School diploma;
  • Stout communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • Comfortable using computers and technology;

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Ability to drive a manual transmission (aka “stick shift”) vehicle
  • Experience troubleshooting issues and solving problems independently
  • Familiarity with the automotive retail industry
  • Team player with high energy and excellent personality
  • Exceptional Communication Skills
  • No fear attitude

Bonus Points for

  • Automotive Retail experience;
  • Experience providing lot services to automotive retailers earns “double bonus points”;
